Stirling Castle, raw recruit in the butts of the firing range turns to Sergeant Tam Johnston.
'Has anyone ever been shot on the range, sergeant?'
'Naw, never!'
Bang! Aaahhhh! The recruit screams - hit in the knee by a ricochet off the metal target plates.
