Lemgo, Germany, Saturday morning dental parade to local German dentist. Word went round that the dentist had a new gorgeous blonde assistant who held your head during treatment. A young Jock with nothing wrong with his teeth, thought he would skive off the Battalion parade, go dental sick and grab a look at this female beauty! But the dentist was craftier than him. He saw a chance to make money, teach the young Jock a lesson, and get one back on the British Army. He extracted a perfectly healthy tooth! - tumshie heid!

I remember the day CSM Bert Lyons collared me about the number of Jocks like 'Donald Duck' etc, who had not paid their 'char wallah' account.

What could we do, but laugh?
