This is the German designed Hispano-Suiza (HS) 30 APC. This is a Spanish-Swiss name after the factory in which it was built. It was the first and last APC HS ever built. It was not a great success. There was no protection for the soldiers and there were continual problems with its engine.

It was armed with a 7.62mm MG 42 (Spandau?) whereas the Saracen had a .30 calibre Browning.

The HS 30 was much faster across country and had a lower silhouette than the Saracens.

The troops could more conveniently fight from the HS 30, but there was no overhead protection from air burst artillery.
