Cruachan III - Regimental Mascot of the Argylls

Photo © Alan Young 		The photograph shows the Pony Major - L/Cpl Moonan with Cruachan III at Redford Barracks, Edinburgh in 1995. Redford Barracks is the base for the guard of Edinburgh Castle.

Cruachan is seen here resplendent in his short summer coat with brown leather halter, stainless steel snaffle bit and leather lead rein. The shine on his hooves is achieved by a brushing of hoof oil.

Cruachan displays here the classic conformation of a fine Shetland pony specimen.
