3807, Edward Fell Taken between his return from India 2/12/1898 and his departure for the Boer War 27/10/1899. He joined the 2nd Battalion A&SH in 8/10/1890 at Aldershot. He completed 12 years service with the Argylls on a short service contract. He was on the reserve after returning from India and when he went to the Boer war he was in the 1st Battalion D Company and was wounded at Paardeburg (shot in the arm). According to his service papers he had previous service in the Royal Fusiliers and some time after his discharge from the 2nd Battalion A&SH in 1902, he was in the Corps of Commissionaires.
